Mantili Kalamatiano is inspired by one of Greece’s most beloved dances; the Kalamatianós, a folk dance known and loved throughout the country. When people dance it, they traditionally hold a mantili (scarf) and move side by side, step by step, in harmony.

The dance itself takes its name from Kalamata, the city in southern Greece famous worldwide for its extra virgin olive oil.
