Mantili Kalamatiano is inspired by one of Greece’s most beloved dances; the Kalamatianós, a folk dance known and loved throughout the country. When people dance it, they traditionally hold a mantili (scarf) and move side by side, step by step, in harmony.
The dance itself takes its name from Kalamata, the city in southern Greece famous worldwide for its extra virgin olive oil. The scarf captures that connection and rhythm in silk; a tribute to tradition, togetherness, and the joy of sharing movement and culture with others. Mantili Kalamatiano is a wearable celebration of one of Greece’s most iconic dances and its rich heritage.
