Yianni Mou, To Mantili Sou takes its name from a very traditional Greek song, deeply rooted in the village festivities of the mainland. The song tells a heartfelt story; a tribute to a man named Yiannis (John) and his mantili -his scarf- which he waved as a goodbye to his beloved family when leaving home.
The phrase itself is widely used in Greece; a tender reminder of connection, farewell, and affection. On the scarf, the mantili becomes more than fabric; it symbolizes holding on to each other while dancing the traditional steps side by side, weaving closeness, joy, and cultural memory into silk.
